Fantasy Island Schools for Kids offers full-time and part-time childcare for ages 2 to 6, so families across Chicago’s Northwest Side and nearby suburbs choose the days they need without settling for less.
Not every family needs five full days. Some parents manage at home until their child is a little over two and then feel the pull of guilt, wanting more for their child than they can give alone. A few days a week can change everything, for your child and for you.
Fantasy Island offers part-time enrollment for every age from 2 to 6, not only full-time. A part-time child joins a real class with certified teachers and the same curriculum as everyone else, so a three-day week is still a full experience on the days your child is here.
If you work from home, you know the problem: you are physically there, but you cannot give a toddler the attention, play, and learning they need while you are on calls. Part-time care is often the answer for parents who need protected work hours on certain days.
On the days your child attends, the hours are the same as for every family, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. You get quiet, focused workdays, and your child gets time with other children, outdoor play, and three meals cooked on-site instead of a screen in the next room.
Parents worry that a child who comes only some days will always feel like the new kid. The fix is choosing days with care, and knowing what happens when.
A few parts of the week are worth planning around. Structured Polish language classes are held every Friday, so if keeping Polish alive matters to your family, include Friday. Brain Gym runs twice a week with our founder and music class happens weekly, so ask on your tour which days they fall on. Picking the same days every week helps your child settle in with the same teachers and friends.
With childcare costs on every parent’s mind, it makes sense to ask what you are really paying for. Tuition at Fantasy Island depends on the program and schedule you choose, so your tuition reflects the schedule you actually choose.
What does not shrink is what is included. On every day your child attends, three meals cooked on-site, music, Brain Gym, and the Gifted Enrichment Program are part of the day, with no add-on fees for enrichment and no lunchbox to pack. If your family uses CCAP, the CCAP page explains how assistance works with our tuition.
Full-time care covers the whole school week, Monday through Friday. Part-time care means your child attends on fewer days. Both follow the same hours, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and both place your child in the same class, with the same certified teachers and curriculum. Tuition depends on the program and schedule you choose.
Yes. Fantasy Island offers both full-time and part-time enrollment for children ages 2 to 6, whether your child is in the daycare group at 2 and 3, preschool at 3 and 4, or kindergarten at 5 and 6. Children under 2 are not enrolled.
Fantasy Island enrolls children full-time or part-time, so your child becomes a regular member of a class rather than a visitor. That consistency is what helps a young child feel safe with the same teachers and friends. If your schedule is unusual, bring it up on your tour and talk through which enrollment option fits.
Many families’ needs change as work changes, and because Fantasy Island offers both full-time and part-time enrollment in the same school, a new schedule does not have to mean a new school. Ask during enrollment how a schedule change works and how much notice is needed, so you can plan ahead.
Yes. Three meals cooked on-site, weekly music with a qualified music teacher, Brain Gym, and the Gifted Enrichment Program are part of tuition, and your child takes part in whatever falls on the days they attend. You never pack lunch, and there are no separate enrichment fees to add on.
