Editorial Policy

The articles on the Fantasy Island Schools for Kids blog are written to help parents on Chicago’s Northwest Side make decisions about daycare, preschool, and kindergarten. This page explains who is responsible for them, where our facts come from, and how we correct mistakes.

Who Is Responsible for Our Content

Our blog is published under the name of Beata Bielic, Executive Director of Fantasy Island Schools for Kids, who has more than 17 years of experience in early childhood education. Articles are based on her experience and on our team’s daily work with children ages 2-6.

How Articles Are Prepared

• Some articles are drafted with the help of AI writing tools. These tools work from our own written guidelines and a fixed list of facts about our school – programs, ages, hours, tuition, licensing, and staff qualifications.
• We review published articles regularly and edit or remove content that is inaccurate, outdated, or does not match our program.
• Articles give general information for parents. They are not medical, developmental, legal, or financial advice. For questions about a child’s health or development, please talk to your pediatrician or a qualified specialist.

Where Our Facts Come From

Information about public programs, enrollment, and assistance should come from the organizations that run them. When we write about these topics, we link to official sources such as:

• Chicago Public Schools and GoCPS (cps.edu, go.cps.edu)
• Chicago Early Learning
• Illinois State Board of Education (isbe.net)
• Illinois Department of Human Services and Illinois Action for Children for CCAP (dhs.illinois.gov, actforchildren.org)
• Local school district websites for suburban kindergarten registration

Dates, deadlines, and eligibility rules change every year. Always confirm them on the official website before you apply.

Updates and Corrections

When dates or rules change, we update the article and add a note at the top showing when it was updated. If you find an error, please contact us or call 773-206-4627, and we will review and correct it.

Independence

We do not accept payment for articles, reviews, or links. When we mention Fantasy Island Schools for Kids in an article, it is because we run the school and want parents to know it is an option near them.
