Our Team

Children do best with adults they trust. At Fantasy Island Schools for Kids, certified early childhood teachers have cared for Northwest Side families since 2009, led by our founder and Executive Director, Beata Bielic.

Beata Bielic, Founder and Executive Director

Beata founded Fantasy Island Schools for Kids in 2009 and has more than 17 years of experience in early childhood education. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from Jagiellonian University.

Beata is a certified Brain Gym instructor and personally leads Brain Gym sessions twice a week. These short, playful movement exercises – crossing the midline, balance, hand-eye coordination, and breathing – help children build focus and learning readiness.

She also writes our parent guides on preschool and kindergarten readiness, child development, and choosing childcare on the Fantasy Island blog. Beata on LinkedIn.

Our Teachers

• Certified: all teachers hold Early Childhood Education (ECE) certifications.
• Safety-trained: all staff are First Aid and CPR certified.
• Continuously trained: staff complete the professional training required for licensed child care professionals, including child development, health and safety, trauma-informed care, and asthma management.
• Language support: we teach in English to prepare children for American schools. Most of our teachers also speak Polish, structured Polish classes take place every Friday, and Ukrainian-speaking teachers run language activities for Ukrainian-speaking children.
• Music: a qualified music teacher leads music class every week.
• Small classes: teachers know each child well and adjust activities to their level.

How Our Team Works With Families

Children who arrive speaking Polish or Ukrainian can be comforted and guided in their home language while they learn English. Our goal is the same for every child: confidence, independence, and readiness for kindergarten and beyond – and an overwhelming majority of our kindergarten graduates are accepted into gifted programs.
