Full-time daycare at Fantasy Island Schools for Kids covers your whole workday, 7 to 6, with certified teachers, a gifted curriculum and three home-cooked meals, for working parents from Norwood Park to Niles, Park Ridge and beyond.
When you both work demanding jobs, daycare has to fit your real day, not an ideal one. Fantasy Island is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, so your child is cared for from an early start to a late finish.
Our school sits on Milwaukee Avenue at Elston Avenue in the Norwood Park area. Milwaukee runs straight northwest to Niles and Golf Mill, and about two miles southeast to Gladstone Park and the Jefferson Park Transit Center, where the Blue Line and the Metra Union Pacific Northwest line meet. So drop-off can fit on the way to the train, and pick-up on the way home.
Ten hours is a long time to spend just eating, napping and waiting. Parents in online forums put that fear bluntly, calling daycare glorified babysitting. Full-time at Fantasy Island means a day with real shape to it.
Your child follows a gifted, multi-sensory curriculum with hands-on literacy, math, science, social studies and art. Twice a week, founder Beata Bielic, a certified Brain Gym instructor, leads short, playful movement sessions for focus and coordination. A qualified music teacher leads class every week, and art, dance and STEM fill out the days. Small classes mean teachers have time to actually teach, not just supervise.
You have probably done the math and felt that pang: full-time care can cost more than housing your whole family. It helps to know exactly what your money buys.
Fantasy Island tuition is approximately $300 to $400 per week, depending on program and schedule. That covers three nutritious meals cooked on-site every day, weekly music class with a qualified teacher, Brain Gym, and the Gifted Enrichment Program. There is no lunch to buy or pack and no separate bill for enrichment. If you qualify for the Illinois Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), we accept it, which can make full-time care possible for working families.
Full-time means handing your child to other adults for most of their waking hours. That trust has to be earned. Fantasy Island is an Illinois state-licensed day care center (License #483511), serving families since 2009.
Every teacher holds an Early Childhood Education certification. All staff are First Aid and CPR certified and complete training in child development, health and safety, trauma-informed care, and asthma management. Parents rate us 4.8 stars on Google, and on Facebook 100% recommend us. One parent put it simply: they trust these people completely.
We are open Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and closed on weekends. Full-time families can use the whole day, which works well if you commute downtown or work long shifts. Your child’s day includes three meals cooked on-site, so an early drop-off and a late pick-up do not mean packing extra food.
Tuition is approximately $300 to $400 per week, depending on program and schedule. It includes three meals a day, weekly music class, Brain Gym and the Gifted Enrichment Program. Our tuition page explains what is included, and we confirm the current rate for your child’s age and schedule. We also accept CCAP, so if you qualify for child care assistance, part or most of your cost may be covered.
It is a fair worry. What matters is what fills those hours. Our full-time day mixes hands-on learning, outdoor play, music, art, short Brain Gym movement breaks and rest, with meals at regular times. Small classes let teachers notice when your child needs a quieter moment. If you have concerns about your child’s needs, your pediatrician is a good partner too.
Only the number of days. Full-time children attend Monday through Friday, while part-time children come on fewer days each week. Both join the same classes, curriculum and meals on the days they attend. Full-time gives your child the most consistent routine and every Brain Gym, music and Friday Polish session. Our part-time daycare page explains the shorter-week option.
Yes. We accept the Illinois Child Care Assistance Program, including families assisted by Illinois Action for Children. Whether you qualify and how much is covered is decided by the program, not by us, so check your eligibility with the program directly and see our tuition page.
