Part-time daycare at Fantasy Island Schools for Kids gives your 2 or 3 year old a few full, happy days a week with certified teachers, music and home-cooked meals, for families across Chicago’s Northwest Side.
If you work from home, you know the guilt of a long call while your 2 year old watches one more show. Your child needs active engagement, other children, time outside, and a routine you cannot always give between meetings.
Part-time daycare at Fantasy Island gives your child those things on the days you need to focus. Every teacher holds an Early Childhood Education certification, and classes are kept small, so your child is noticed and drawn into the day. You get quiet hours to work, and your child gets a day built for a 2 or 3 year old instead of a day spent waiting for you.
Many parents start with a few days a week and are surprised how much changes. Your child comes home with new words, new songs, and stories about friends, and the days at home feel calmer for everyone.
Part-time here is not a lighter version of the program. On the days your child attends, they join the same English-language day as every other child in our daycare: hands-on activities in literacy, math, science and art, outdoor play, and three meals cooked in our kitchen. A shorter week still gets the full experience your child would have on any other day.
When you pick part-time days, you are also picking which parts of our week your child shares. Brain Gym, the short and playful movement sessions led by our founder Beata Bielic, runs twice a week. Music class with a qualified music teacher happens weekly. Structured Polish language classes are held every Friday.
On your tour, ask which days these fall on and match them to what matters most to your family. If Polish matters to you, include Friday. If you want your child at every Brain Gym session, plan around those two days. Your child then gets the parts of the week you care about most.
Tuition rates rarely tell the whole story, so it helps to ask what is actually included. At Fantasy Island, tuition depends on your program and schedule, and part-time families get the same inclusions as everyone else on the days they attend: three locally sourced meals cooked on-site, weekly music class, Brain Gym, and our Gifted Enrichment Program.
That means no lunchbox to pack on daycare mornings and no add-on fees for enrichment. We also accept the Illinois Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP). Our tuition page explains what is included, and we confirm the current part-time rate for your child’s schedule before you enroll.
We offer both full-time and part-time enrollment for children ages 2 and 3, Monday through Friday. We go over the current part-time day options with you during your tour and when you enroll. Many families choose the days that match their office days or their busiest work-from-home days.
Yes, that is how many families choose their days. We are open 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at 6100 N Milwaukee Ave. If your office days take you downtown by Metra, the Union Pacific Northwest line stops at Edison Park, so you can plan drop-off and pick-up around your train on the days you go in.
Most children do, especially with a steady pattern of the same days each week. Your child joins the same small class and the same routine every time they come, with certified teachers who get to know them. If the adjustment worries you, talk with us about which days and how many will give your child the most consistency.
Yes. On every day your child attends, they eat three nutritious, locally sourced meals cooked in our own kitchen, included in tuition. You do not pack lunch or snacks. Music class, Brain Gym and the Gifted Enrichment Program are included too, so a part-time week has no extra charges for the things that make the day special.
Many families ask this as work schedules change. Because we offer both part-time and full-time enrollment, moving to more days is something to talk through with us when your needs change. Your child stays in the same classroom community, so more days simply means more time with friends they already know.
